This MCP9600 amplifier works with eight different types of thermocouples and has built-in temperature alerts. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi, Arduino and with HAT garden Breakout without soldering.

Thermocouples are temperature sensors that are well suited for more industrial use where durability and tolerance to extreme conditions are required, such as ovens or freezers. Type K stainless steel thermocouples can withstand and measure temperatures from -200°C to over 800°C (in our tests) when used with the MCP9600.

The MCP9600 works with Type K, J, T, N, S, E, B, and R thermocouples. It also has built-in cold junction compensation, four configurable temperature alerts, and rugged screw terminals for connection.

It is also compatible with the Breakout Garden. Simply slide it into one of the 6 slots provided before you start developing your project, creating and coding.

Note that you will also need a thermocouple to go with this breakout such as a stainless steel K-type thermocouple or our braided K-type thermocouple.
