Software

You can use the python library or the C++/MicroPython library for Raspberry Pi Pico to display images, text, graphics or animated GIFs. You can install it on your Raspberry Pi with :

sudo pip3 install st7789

You may need to enable I2C and SPI in raspi-config. Youwill also need to specify that you are using a round display to fit the screen properly with for example :

python3 gif.py deployrainbows.gif round

Installation

If you don't have a Breakout Garden, to connect your LCD screen to Raspberry Pi you just have to plug :

• 3-5V to any 5V or 3V pin

• CS to BCM 7

• SCK to BCM 11

• MOSI to BCM 10

• DC to BCM 9

• BL to BCM 19

• GND to any ground pin

To connect it to the Raspberry Pi Pico, you will have to connect :

• 3-5V to any 5V or 3V pin

• CS to GP17

• SCK to GP18

• MOSI to GP19

• DC to GP16

• BL to GP20

• GND to any ground pin
